Northeast Ohio Biomimicry Action Network

Biomimicry is the leading edge thinking around design tables at Interface, Nike, Dupont, Herman Miller, Proctor and Gamble, and more. In her keynote at the Global Forum, Janine Benyus shared some of these innovations and how nature can help us solve some of the most challenging design problems in business and in society.

Biomimicry has been alive in the Northeast Ohio region for several years. In 2007-2008 E4S hosted seven Northeast Ohio Biomimicry Design Collaborative meetings that engaged a cross-sectorial group in the advancement of the understanding and practice of Biomimicry design principles. In 2009, in parallel with the Global Forum, E4S has advanced their commitment to put biomimicry to work at every design table.

A core group of cross-sectorial leaders are working together to seed biomimicry design principles throughout the region and are exploring the opportunities to create a regional Biomimicry Center.
